Photos: The Definition EP September 27, 2008 We just put up 13 photos on our Myspace profile from our recording session at Arctic Studios with Jordan Schmidt. In all we spent 12 days in the studio, and we couldn't be happier with how things turned out. So until we can start releasing these new tracks, enjoy the pictures! Harmonies and Secondary Vocals = Done September 14, 2008 It's 1:10 in the morning, and Scott and I just got back from a long, but extremely fruitful weekend of recording with Jordan in Minneapolis. The album is 100%, completely finished being recorded... boo ya! The harmonies we've got going on are crazy awesome; it is going to be an absolute treat letting all of you hear the tracks when we're able to release them! The Definition EP: BG Vocals September 6, 2008 Next weekend, we will be heading back to Minneapolis to record the final backup and secondary vocal parts for The Definition EP... and we couldn't be more excited to do so. Initially we were going to record those parts ourselves, but after a few attempts we decided that we just weren't getting the quality this record deserves. With how crazy-awesome all 6 tracks are sounding the least we can do is support them with similarily awesome sounding backup vocals! And the best part is that this means the entire album will be finished having been recorded as of next Sunday evening. We can't wait to start sharing these songs with everyone! Acoustic Show August 31, 2008 We're playing an acoustic show this afternoon for one of our biggest fan's birthdays. While we've never done a show like this before, we're pretty excited about the concept of smaller, more-intimate, acoustic sets like this. And even better, this will be the first time that we've played some of the new songs that'll be on our upcoming album! New Mixes and More Updates August 25, 2008 I recently received some of the preliminary mixes of our new tracks and they're sounding amazing! It took a while for Jordan to get them to us, because (drum roll)... his studio got hit by lightning. It's almost unbelievable how many crazy things have happened while working on this album, ha. So now Scott and I will have to start laying down the backup vocals to finish up the songs... then they'll be shipped off to Sterling Sound to get mastered by Ue Nastasi who does amazing work and has been the mastering brains behind a good majority of all the popular albums in our genre. Needless to say, we're all extremely excited to have him working on the project! In other studio/album news... the photos that were taken of us while in the studio appear to have been lost. The photographer who was capturing us while we worked on the album recently had his external hard drive go bonkers on him. Turns out that all the files got corrupted, so we're just keeping our fingers crossed that some of the few that didn't are ours. Either way, we've got a video coming as soon as Chris finishes putting it together. Lastly, we recently announced a Private Party that we're playing at this coming Sunday in mine and Patrick's hometown of Waukesha. We'll be playing an acoustic set featuring songs off our upcoming album... which should be a lot of fun. If anyone else is interested in having us do a similar such show definitely contact us and we'll see what we can do! For those of you in the Waukesha area who haven't been invited to this show, don't worry! Another show is in the works through the Waukesha North High School's Invisible Children Fund. That show will act as our CD release, and should be a blast (there are a couple of extremely good other bands we're talking with about joining on for the ticket)! We're also working on shows in Green Bay, Madison, and La Crosse... and we're always looking for more shows, so make sure to contact us if you want to help. - Tom  |
