BIOGRAPHY
Forming as a complete musical ensemble in the spring of 2006, newcomers
Hillcrest Road have quickly become known for their unique blend of pop
and rock. As a young band Hillcrest Road has made great strides in the
Milwaukee and Midwestern music scene and had the pleasure of sharing
the stage with many amazing local, regional, and national acts. In the
short time since their inception, Hillcrest Road’s energetic live show
and ever-growing online presence has blossomed into a large fan base.
Hillcrest
Road's self-produced,
full-length debut, "Life After Liftoff", engineered by Chicago legend
Mike Hagler (OK Go, Wilco) with production assistance from Dejan Kralj
of The Gufs, quickly surpassed the band’s
highest expectations and set the stage for things to come.
Currently the band is gearing up to release their second album entitled "The Definition EP." Recorded in Minneapolis with up and coming producer Jordan Schmidt, the 6 tracks on this album effectively demonstrate that Hillcrest Road has raised the bar for themselves. With new photos by David Jackson and an entirely revamped online presence, Hillcrest Road has been working hard to improve upon every aspect of themselves.
Reviews
Here's what people are saying about Hillcrest Road:
"Hillcrest Road, a group of college wannabees, has been the thorn in
the side of society for roughly half of their combined 100 plus years.
When reviewed by Patrick’s Mother’s first grade elementary school
class, the students described their sound as, "different than Fall Out
Boy." Besides long walks on the beach, the color five, and the letter
purple, Hillcrest Road often indulges in impromptu renditions of
Hamlet, wearing speedos, and writing fake reviews."

"All the way from Milwaukee, WI comes the best band I have heard in
a long time. The first time I had listened to HcR was when they were in
their mixing stage. They were very good then and got even better. I
can’t wait until their next album comes out. Enjoy!!"

"The aim of the game is to stand out, whether through interesting
melodies, decent lyrics, or creative song structure. Luckily for
Hillcrest Road, they’ve conjured up a great lineup and have managed to
combine most of these features into a blend of pop rock so tasty, it
could be boxed and sold in stores worldwide."
