DISCOGRAPHY Life After Liftoff play Year: 2007 Buy: iTunes, HCR Store "Life After Liftoff" is our debut album that was recorded mostly in Patrick's basement (thanks Mr. and Mrs. Gonyo!) and then mixed in Chicago with underground legend Mike Hagler at the helm. Having recorded OKGO's first album and a bunch of Wilco records it was a dream to work with him so early on in our career. The man truly is amazing. We were also lucky enough to have production assistance and support from Dejan Kralj of The Gufs. Growing up The Gufs were one of our favorite groups. Great guys, and incredible musicians. We couldn't be prouder to have had Dejan's assistance on the album. "2 Emo 4 Words" is the first song we ever wrote and played as a full band. "It's Been You" was written by Scott about his girlfriend while working as a sandwich artist at Subway (he was a very productive employee). And "Postcards (Lost in the Mail)" was one of the first songs keyboardist Tom Giles ever wrote. All in all, "Life After Liftoff" represents and showcases all the hard work that we went through as a band. |
